About Me

I feel extremely grateful to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth - and I've seen a lot of the planet so I think I can say this as an expert. I've traveled extensively for work and for play and I hope one day to be able to do it again, after this pesky virus gets over itself. To play, though, not to work, since I'm happily retired!

I've been a diplomat, a fitness professional, a teacher and a trainer. I've lived and worked all over the continent of Africa, and spent some quality time in Asia and the Middle East. I teach and write nowadays, mostly write, and mentor students interested in a career in government service. Oh and I tend to my gardens and write short stories: science fiction and horror, mostly.

I'm so happy to be back in California I sometimes cry! There's no place like home, they say. I say, "yea," as long as home is by the water!

About Me

After 20+ years traipsing around the world for the U.S. government, A.H. Plotts has finally settled down (mostly) on the California coast. When she isn't eating great food, enjoying the scenery and writing about it, A.H. loves to work in her yard and observe the wildlife that's slowly taking over.
